Eric P. Suan, M.D., F.A.C.S., is founder and President of The
Retina Care Center, L.L.C. He provides state of the art medical and
surgical treatments for diseases of the retina and vitreous in
multiple locations throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania.
His areas of interest and expertise are medical
and surgical management of Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular Degeneration,
Macular Holes and Puckers, complex Retinal Detachments, and
Complications of Ocular Surgery.
Eric P. Suan, M.D., F.A.C.S. is Board Certified by
the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American
College of Surgeons and American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a
Clinical Instructor at the University of Maryland and an Adjunct
Clinical Professor for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Maryland
Health Care Systems. He is a member of the Medical Staff of Greater
Baltimore Medical Center, Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, York
Hospital, and Pinnacle Health System.

Dr. Speicher is an expert in the medical
and surgical management of all types of vitreoretinal disease
including diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, macular
disorders, and complications following cataract surgery. During
fellowship, he participated in research studying the benefits of
long-acting intraocular steroids for the management of macular
degeneration and macular edema. The initial laboratory and clinical
studies regarding this emerging treatment strategy were conducted by
the Vitreoretinal Service at Indiana University. He has authored
multiple articles in the peer-reviewed literature and has delivered
numerous lectures.
Matthew A. Speicher, M.D. is Board Certified by the American Board of
Ophthalmology. He is a member of the medical staff of Greater
Baltimore Medical Center, Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, and York
Hospital, and provides retinal care to patients at various locations
throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Dr. Sund specializes in all aspects of vitreoretinal
diseases, including retinal detachment, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, macular
holes and puckers, and pediatric retinal diseases. Dr. Sund has published several articles
in peer-reviewed journals, and has presented at national meetings on several topics in ophthalmology.
He has been actively involved in clinical research including participation in several national
multicenter trials sponsored by industry and the National Institute of Health and National Eye
Institute, notably in the areas of age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
